Description
Placemaking is the creative, collaborative process of shaping public spaces to reflect a community's stories-its cultural identity, historical layers, and present-day needs. Placemaking projects foster equitable, vibrant, and sustainable communities. In this hands on course, students will explore Worcester's past on foot and in the archives; they will engage with its diverse communities and will study its public spaces firsthand. Working with a community partner, students will help to craft and carry out a placemaking project in our community.
