Who runs this site
Clarkie Catalog is an independent student project. It is not operated by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Clark University. Questions and removal requests: hello@clarkiecatalog.com.
Account and sign-in
Sign-in uses a magic link sent to a Clark University email address. We store the email address and authentication metadata needed to operate the account. Sign-in requests are rate-limited and logged with the email address and, when available, the requesting IP address. We do not sell personal information.
Syllabi and AI processing
Uploaded syllabi are stored in a private bucket. Text may be sent to an AI extraction provider to identify the course, instructor, term, office hours, tags, and grade breakdown. Extracted fields are shown to verified Clark students, and instructor office hours may be shown on public professor pages. Original files are available to verified contributors through temporary, expiring links.
Service providers
The site uses Supabase for database, authentication, and file storage, Cloudflare for hosting, Resend for sign-in email delivery, and an AI provider for syllabus extraction. These providers process data on our behalf.
Cookies and retention
We use essential session cookies for sign-in. We keep account records, uploaded files, and extracted metadata while the account or contribution remains active, and retain limited security logs for abuse prevention. You can remove your contributions from Documents. Contact us to request account deletion.
Accuracy
Course and instructor data comes from Banner and may be incomplete or out of date. Syllabus details are AI-extracted from student uploads and can be wrong. Verify important details with the official schedule, instructor, or original syllabus.
