Description

Section information text: Examines social problems, social policy and education. Conceptual tools for the analysis of social policies are used. Examinations of existing programs and social agencies enable students to understand agency functions, client population and the relationship between the individual agency and the larger social-service network. Emphasis is placed on social problems and social solutions, linking individuals and external primary groups with societal resource systems and the impact of social-policy change on individuals and institutions.
