Description
Contemporary times are a time of innovation, creativity, and global connectedness. At the same time, we are facing multiple crises (social injustices, viruses, ecological degradation, democratic upheaval). Considering the adage that "problems cannot be solved by the same types of thinking that created them", we will explore new ways of thinking, being, and acting in the world. We will work as a community of inquiry to investigate questions such as: How do we educate ourselves for planetary well-being? How can we cultivate powerful ways to contribute to deep transformation? The course takes an interdisciplinary approach and draws from the arts, the learning sciences, environmentalism, wisdom traditions, futurology, and our own lived experiences.
