Description

Section information text: Hispanic Women Filmmakers (SPAN217) is meant to enable students to develop their knowledge of Hispanic Cinema and Hispanic culture of the 20th and 21st century. The materials used for this course aim to offer a significative representation of films by women filmmakers of the past and present century in the context of political, artistic and social change in Spanish speaking countries. We will consider how cultural ideologies, identities and intersectionalities (such as gender or age) are depicted in the big screen.
