Description

This course offers an introduction to the statistical analysis processes and methods that can be used in managerial decision-making. The course develops students' abilities to understand and perform basic data descriptions and visualization to uncover patterns, relationships, and trends in business-related data. Students also learn a variety of statistical methods including probability theory, sampling analysis, hypothesis testing, and regressions that can help managers to effectively analyze business solutions and predict outcomes. The course emphasizes the real-world applications of the methods by giving students hands-on experience using MS Excel. Examples of real-world applications include calculating the metrics of sustainability and social responsibility.
