Description

This capstone seminar provides an introduction to disability justice, a framework that denotes disability as a political destination and aims to dismantle ableism for a more just and equitable society. The course draws on literature in disability studies to understand key ideas in the disability justice movement such as intersectionality, accessibility interdependence, and collective liberation. We will consider examples of global struggle in the fight for disability justice. Students will be encouraged to grapple with challenging topics through discourse and experiential activities.
