Description
Section information text: Examines statistical mechanics with applications to physical systems. Topics include ensemble theory, the statistical basis of thermodynamics, quantum statistics, the virial expansion of a classical gas, ideal Bose and Fermi systems, the renormalization group, and fluctuations.
