Section information text: A blend of instruction, discussion and exercises this course is built around the project management best practices presented in the Project Management Institute's (PMI) Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK?). It provides the foundation, tools, techniques, templates and methodology to - manage each stage of the project life cycle, working within organizational and cost constraints; set goals tied directly to stakeholder needs; get the most from project teams, and use state-of-the-art project management tools to deliver projects to scope, on-time, and within budget. Spanning the entire project life cycle, the course covers all nine Project Management Knowledge Areas (Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Human Resources, Communications, Risk, and Procurement) and the five Project Management Process groups (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Controlling and Closing). Sections include the Fundamentals; Time and Cost Management; Quality Management; Risk Management; Contract Management; Leadership, Communication and Management; and Managing Large Scale International projects in Virtual Environments.
