Description
Section information text: Surveys history of the Jewish community and the development of Judaism from the era of Alexander the Great (c. 325 B.C.E.) to the present. Examines the major political, religious, social and economic trends of each period as they affected the Jewish community and the development of Judaism. Emphasizes elements of change and continuity, as well as interaction of the Jewish community with the larger culture and community. Fulfills the Historical Perspective.
