Description
This course explores the history of Worcester from the earliest Nipmuc records through the 20th century. Through the lens of Worcester's history, students will develop their understanding of how historical knowledge is produced - how do we know what happened in the past? Who writes history, and who controls the historical narrative? How does our understanding of the past change over time, and why? How are public and academic historians working today to expand and enrich our interpretations of the past?
