Description
Intensive practice in spoken and written French through the study of news media in various formats. Based on their own exploration of Francophone current news and/or social topics, students will produce stories, podcasts, or videos. In-class activity involves the preparation, rehearsal, and delivery of news podcasts, as well as informal conversational "editorial board" meetings to discuss the merits and interest of particular stories and select items that should be developed for inclusion in a newspaper issue, podcast, or video. Students will be expected to research current news and social topics in Francophone sources. Given in French.
