Description

This course provides students with a comprehensive overview of the tools and skills required to successfully complete mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions. Key topics include M&A strategies, candidate selection, valuation models and practices, financial statement analysis, M&A process, and other forms of major restructuring. The course combines theoretical frameworks with practical insights through case studies and guest speaker sessions, offering students a deeper understanding of real-world M&A dynamics. Students will apply common financial tools such as discounted cash flow analysis to evaluate transactions. By the end of the course, students will gain insights into the M&A process - from business planning to post-merger integration - and develop the skills necessary to assess, structure, and manage M&A deals.
