Description
Data Science Studio is a repeatable, project-based practicum in which students work in faculty-mentored teams to deliver real-world data products for campus units, nonprofits, businesses, and research partners. Depending on the nature of projects, the instructor may incorporate additional datasets, advanced topics not covered in other data science courses, or field-specific materials to enrich learning. These enhancements ensure consistent outcomes in problem formulation, data management, modeling, communication, ethics, and teamwork. The Studio offers opportunities for students to work with and even serve diverse roles in data teams that interact with varied stakeholders.
