Description

Section information text: Covers material related to compounds containing one or more covalent metal-carbon bonds. The material progresses from the traditional organometallics, such as Grignards and cuprates, through the transition metal and main group complexes. Emphasis is placed on the properties of organometallic compounds and mechanisms of their formation and subsequent reactions. Because of the continuing development of the field, use of the primary literature is stressed. A comparison of traditional organic and inorganic chemistry is developed through this intermediate field.
