Description
This course introduces students to core econometric methods, equipping them with the tools to analyze complex economic challenges including those brought about by climate change using data. Students will learn how to apply advanced statistical techniques to uncover causal relationships, understand statistical merits of policy interventions, and work with real world data. The empirical models will be guided by intuition of economic models building foundational bridge connecting theory and empirics. This course will have a strong focus on working with data in R. By the end of the course, students will be prepared to critically assess empirical research and conduct their own data-driven analyses to inform climate solutions.
