Description
This course provides an in-depth examination of wetland ecology with emphasis on ecological processes, wetland types, and wetland delineation methods. Particular attention is given to wetlands common to the Northeastern United States. Field trips to local wetland sites provide experience using federal and state wetland delineation protocols to delineate wetlands using hydrology, hydric soils, and wetland vegetation.
